BorrowMyDoggy provides Accident and Third-Party Liability Insurance for Premium Members, underwritten by Hiscox.

Third-Party Liability
Up to £1,000,000 per incident if a dog causes injury or damage to a third party (not the borrower), their property, or their pets while the dog is under the control of a Borrower, where the Owner or Borrower has been negligent.

Accident / Emergency Vet Fees
Up to £1,500 per incident towards eligible emergency veterinary fees if a dog is injured while being borrowed, provided the injury occurred or first showed clinical signs while the dog was in the borrower’s care, custody, and control.

If the dog owner has their own pet insurance, that insurance must be used first. BorrowMyDoggy’s insurance may then contribute towards any eligible costs not covered by the owner’s own policy, up to the £1,500 limit.

Important notes

• Both the Owner and the Borrower must be Premium Members at the time of care.
• BorrowMyDoggy’s insurance does not replace a dog owner’s own pet insurance.
• We strongly recommend that dog owners have their own pet insurance in place for illness, ongoing treatment and any costs not covered under this policy.
